NC State Football Team finishes finals before heading to Orlando

The NCSU football team will have their last exams on December 17th and will head to Orlando, FL on December 23rd. The team has various activities planned before the actual game and are planning on attending Disney World! Debbie Yow talks about our fans and how well they travel. Click here to view what she has to say.

This is easily the largest bowl NC State has been to since we played Notre Dame in the Gator Bowl, 2003. NCSU fans were alotted 13,500 tickets at $65 a piece, I personally expect the game to sell out. The hotel reservations were nearly booked the day of bowl announcments, I cant imagine what it is like trying to find a hotel now. As I mentioned in my previous post, the team will be staying at the Hilton on Destination Drive in Orlando. You can join their pregame and postgame parties and meals here. Interestingly enough, I went online to try "book a hotel" and see if they are sold out. The majority of sites are "temporarily unavailiable." This could simply be because the site is under construction, but may have something to do with the large influx of people wanting to book at the Hilton for the next few weeks.

I hope everyone has safe travels for the holidays and I hope to see you in Florida! Go Pack!

George Bryan and Nate Irving named All-ACC

The Technician, the NC State University newspaper published an entire article on George Bryan and Nate Irving being named All-ACC. I will be waiting for interviews from Irving and Bryan being posted as the Thanskgiving holiday ends and the boys return to their regular football schedule.

Loss in College Park on Saturday

This past Saturday the Wolfpack lost against the Maryland Terps. The game was a close one that came down to the last few seconds! "Obi Egekeze kicked a 20-yard field goal with 6 seconds left, and Maryland kept North Carolina State winless in Atlantic Coast Conference play with a rain-soaked 27-24 victory Saturday." (gopack.com)

Who's to blame? People blame the players, people blame the coaching staff, but many more blame Ron Cherry and feel that NCSU was cheated out of our shot to play in the ACC Championship. Click Here to read more about the raging NC State fans and their interpretations of game.

NC State victory over Wake Forest

The Wolfpack secured their place for a bowl game this year by winning their 7th win against Wake Forest at home. Wilson led the pack to a 38-3 victory during NCSU's homecoming game of the season. All the seinor football players were recognized before kickoff where their families met them mid-field.

Was this Russel Wilson's last home game? The question on a lot of Wolfpack fan's minds is "will Russel return to the NCSU football team next season?" There is a lot of debate about whether he will go to the NFL, go play baseball again with the Colorado Rockies, or return for one last season with the Wolfpack. The News&Observer quotes Wilson: “It was just exciting,” said Wilson, who played pro baseball last season in the Colorado Rockies organization. “I don’t know if I’m coming back yet, but it was a special moment.”
