Audio Visual

I really enjoyed doing my audio visual project. I know it was not my best work, but I think I really learned a lot by doing this project. First, I started by contacting the football team's director to find out if it was okay that I interviewed the boys: Abigail. She gave me permission to do the interview so I set a time that Asa Watson, Mikel Overgaard and Dean Haynes were avaliable. I asked them questions about their personal lives and got some really funny video footage.

There were several factors that made the video seem somewhat unprofessional. First and foremost was the camera man. I asked my roomate to film the video and she was laughing, so the footage was very shaky. If I could do it again, I would have rented a tripod. Next was the lighting. I should have done this interview during the day with more natural light in the apartment. Third, sound. I dont know how I couldve fixed this because I didnt want the interview to seem awkward in a small area, but the sound was drowned out by the large living room we were sitting in.

Lastly, if I would've become more familiar with the editing program I was using, the video would've had more potential. I am not a Mac user, and I own a PC. I did this project on Mikel's Mac so I got very frustrated trying to splice the video and add voiceover. Voiceover and sound effects would've been nice additions to my video.

Overall, I think the project was fun and I learned how to do a lot of things, and I learned a lot of things not to do. My project was probably not as good as it could've been, but it was a lot of hard work that I am proud of!

This is a picture of Mikel Overgaard, myself and Dean Haynes out for a night on the town!

This screenshot is when I was asking the boys to do their best impression of Coach Bible. Asa Watson (left) is in the middle of his impression! What a funny part of the video!

This is toward the beginning of the interview when I was asking Asa about his favorite TV show. All three boys had different shows they liked, but I think Mikel takes the lead with his favorite show being Desperate Housewives :)

If you cant tell, Asa was the lively one during the interview! Here is Asa showing me his favorite dance move, and believe me, they all dance around the apartment all the time! This is a really fun group of guys  and I really enjoyed interviewing them. Some techniques could've made this project better, but Mikel, Asa, and Dean really made this a lively interview! Thanks Guys!
